2 Drug Couriers In Pamulang Arrested By Police Members Of The Aceh-Jakarta Network, Controlled From Malaysia

JAKARTA - The police said that the two-drug suspects arrested in Pamulang, South Tangerang, belonged to the Aceh-Jakarta network. Both are also part of a network led by someone in Malaysia.

"The narcotics case of methamphetamine from the Aceh-Jakarta network has been successfully uncovered by the Directorate of Narcotics of the Metro Jaya Police with evidence of 4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine", said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. In this case, the suspect UA who is still alive is charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics. He is threatened with death or life imprisonment, or a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 20 years.

The arrests of the perpetrators began when the undercover police received information about drug transactions in the Pamulang area. The police followed the perpetrators.

However, the perpetrators realized that they were being followed. The two of them fled in a car.

"The suspects ran away using a Honda Jazz at high speed", said Director of Drug Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Mukti Juharsa.

In an attempt to escape, the assailant hit the motorists. One of them is a mother who rides a motorbike.

"I collided with a mother who was riding a motorcycle, and she fell and was taken to the hospital, then hit a Honda Jazz and a Suzuki", he said.

Because the actions of the two perpetrators were considered dangerous to residents, continued Mukti, the members immediately decided to take decisive action against their car. As a result, both of them were shot.
