MEDAN - North Sumatra Governor (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi invited the administrators of the Indonesian Private Higher Education Association (APTISI) to participate in encouraging development in North Sumatra.

Governor Edy said there were very few parties he could invite to develop North Sumatra. Even Governor Edy joked about the need to borrow DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to help build North Sumatra.

"I, if these gentlemen are difficult to talk to about building North Sumatra, who else can I talk to? Should we wait for people from Singapore, should we choose people from Europe there, or should we borrow Anies Baswedan from Jakarta? return it to us again, of course it won't be like that," said Governor of the Indonesian Governor Edy Rahmayadi, Monday, January 10.

Gubsu Edy said Indonesia will get a demographic bonus in 2045. In which, Indonesia's current birth rate is around 5 million per year.

This figure is comparable to the population of Singapore. As for North Sumatra, he continued, the number of young people aged 16-30 years was at 45 percent.

"Imagine, sir, in 2045, our demographic bonus is not well educated, has no ability, no skills, it's not a demographic bonus, but a demographic destroyer," he said.

Governor Edy hopes that higher education will become a place to prepare a reliable young generation who will lead in the future.

"But if we are not educated and prepared properly, is it possible for us to rule the world. Don't just go to schools, what are you going to do? That's what goes to school, what about those who don't go to school, it's even worse. I'm sorry sir, once again I'm sorry, please don't in my summons," he said.

Governor Edy said that every year around 60 thousand new graduates will be born in North Sumatra. But the thing that comes to mind, there are very few containers that exist to accommodate these scholars.

In addition, Governor Edy also complained about the difficulty of licensing for foreign investors to invest in North Sumatra. Edy said that he had brought 50 investors from Hong Kong to see the SEZ Sei Mangkei.

"I brought 50 people, 3 months here I took them to Sei Mangkei, he checked there, he would invest there, 3 months he ran home. I chased him, suddenly he entered Majalengka, didn't want to come here. The difficulty is, yesterday I went back to Sei Mangkei, I chased why it was difficult if the rules, people don't want to be difficult, he brought money," he explained.

"Why am I saying this, we are exaggerating all education, if there is no forum, this creates danger. It is so difficult for our child to go to college, he learns," said Governor Edy Rahmayadi.
