Chairman Of Commission E Denies PSI's Plan To Summon Sahroni Regarding Formula E

JAKARTA - Head of Commission E of the DKI DPRD, Iman Satria, said that his party had no plans to summon the chief executive of Formula E, Ahmad Sahroni, to the commission meeting.

This contradicts the statement by the Deputy Chair of Commission E from the PSI faction, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, who said he would summon Sahroni in the near future.

"The Commission does not yet have a plan to summon (Sahroni). There has not been any talk at the commission regarding the plan to summon him," said Iman when contacted, Monday, January 10.

This member of the PSI faction sees that at this time the DPRD does not need to ask for an explanation from Sahroni who is also the General Treasurer of Gerindra regarding the progress of planning for this electric car racing event.

"What do you want to discuss if you haven't started anything yet? Why don't we call people who haven't worked yet. Go first, then we'll evaluate," said Iman. Previously, Anggara said that Commission E planned to summon Ahmad Sahroni and the Youth and Sports Office to explain the readiness for the implementation of Formula E.

Anggara said that this summons was based on Ahmad Sahroni's statement which stated that Formula E was no longer charged to the APBD because it attracted sponsors.

However, this member of the PSI faction of the DKI DPRD sees that the location of the Formula E circuit in the Ancol area has not been touched by the construction of the track at all.

"The statement that Mr. Sahroni said Formula E was not funded by the APBD. Then, the determination of the location, which until today we have not seen how ready it is. So, that's why we want to call all related parties," said Anggara.
