COVID-19 Update As Of January 9: 529 New Cases, 211 Healed More

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 255,282 specimens were examined with the result that there were 529 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,266,195 people and 6,108 active cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, January 9.

The recovered cases increased by 211 cases, bringing the total to 4,115,958 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2 people and the total was 144,129 people.

The province with the highest new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 393 cases, an increase of 93 cases. Furthermore, Riau Islands 24 cases, down from yesterday's number of 60 cases, then Banten and West Java with 21 cases each, East Java with 16 cases, DI Yogyakarta with 10 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today is DKI Jakarta with

a total of 111 people, followed by West Java with a total of 30, East Java 21 recovered.

To date, 170,142,626 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 116,819,952 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 1,324,404. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
