Indicator Survey: Public Confidence In President Jokowi Continues To Move Up

JAKARTA - A survey conducted by Indonesian Political Indicators shows that the level of public trust in President Joko Widodo continues to move up.

"Compared to the leaders of other democratic countries, the approval rating or the level of public trust in Jokowi is the highest even above the President of the United States of America Joe Biden," said Executive Director Burhanuddin Muhtadi when presenting the results of the survey with the theme "Economic Recovery Post COVID-19, Pandemic Fatigue and Dynamics Electoral ahead of the 2024 General Election," quoted from Antara, Sunday 9 January.

In December 2021 the level of public trust in Jokowi reached 71 percent. This figure has increased sharply in the last four months compared to the previous June 2021 of 59 percent.

The Indicator Survey involved 2,020 respondents from 34 provinces in Indonesia. Respondents selected were at least 17 years old or married.

The survey was conducted by direct interviews and the determination of the sample using the multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of 2.9 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
