Central Java Police Chief Be Friendly When Persuading Elementary School Children To Participate In Independent Vaccinations

SEMARANG – Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi persuaded a number of children to take vaccinations. Through a number of photos received by VOI, Inspector General Pol Ahmad Luthfi was seen approaching the children to give encouragement and motivation.

This action was carried out by the Central Java Police Chief to support the COVID-19 vaccination program for children. Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi accelerated these activities through the Merdeka Vaccination program. A series of vaccination activities targeting children aged 6-11 years, was held in a number of locations, one of which was SD Supriyadi, Kec. Pedurungan, Semarang City.

A total of 354 Supriyadi Elementary School students received the first dose of vaccine. In this activity, the Kapolda gave encouragement to the students and motivated them not to be afraid of being vaccinated.

"Doesn't it hurt? It doesn't hurt, right? Let's be healthy, come on, my hands are like this (clench), I'm brave (injected with vaccines), and I'm healthy. Cheer up!," joked Ahmad Luthfi to one of the children, Friday, January 7th.

The student looked embarrassed and nodded in response to the two-star general's motivation. Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi also gave encouragement to students who were waiting for their turn to receive vaccine injections. Then, he pointed to one of the children who was receiving the vaccine.

"Why don't you dare? That's all (his friend) doesn't get sick, right? You have to be brave, to be confident, and (go) to go to school to meet friends," said the Kapolda.

The Child Vaccination activity, which is carried out by the Head of the National Police through virtual, aims to create herd immunity for children aged 6-11 years. By vaccinating children, it is hoped that they can increase their immunity against the COVID-19 virus.
