COVID Vaccination Target For Children In Rejang Lebong Reaches 27,053 People, Spread Over 15 Districts

REJANG LEBONG - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, said the vaccination target for children aged 6-11 years in the area reached 27,053 people.

Head of the Rejang Health Office, Lebong Syahfawi, said that mass vaccination for children aged 6-11 years was spread across 15 sub-districts in the region simultaneously starting January 10, 2022.

"Children who will undergo this vaccination are elementary school-aged children, both public and private," he said in Rejang Lebong as reported by Antara, Friday, January 7.

Vaccination of children aged 6-11 years in the area is carried out in collaboration with the local Education and Culture Office.

For the implementation of this program, his party has prepared a stock of the CoronaVac brand vaccine made by Bio Farma which at this initial stage is 20,000 doses. Furthermore, if it is finished, it will be submitted for addition to the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office.

"The target of this vaccination is elementary school age children, so we expect the participation of parents to educate and accompany their children so that later they can run well," he said.

Head of the Education and Culture Office of Rejang Lebong Regency, Rezza Pakhlevie, said that his party was ready to make the vaccination program for children aged 6-11 years successful in the area.

"It is important to vaccinate children aged six to 11 years to support face-to-face learning activities, we have also held meetings with elementary school principals to make this program a success," he said.
