2 Suitcases And 1 Large Bag Are The Result Of A 6-hour Search By The Corruption Eradication Commission In The Work Room Of Walkot Rahmat Effendi

JAKARTA - A total of two suitcases plus one large bag containing files were seen being transported by investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) after searching the office of the mayor and the head of the Disperkimntan office in the Bekasi City Government office complex.

"They (KPK investigators) came from around 09.00 WIB until this afternoon around 15.00 WIB," said the Bekasi City Government office clerk, who asked not to be named, Friday, January 7, as reported by Antara.

He said there were at least eight KPK officers who carried out inspections in the Bekasi City Government office area. The first inspection was carried out in the room of the Head of the Department of Housing, Settlements, and Land (Disperkimtan).

At around 13.00 WIB, he said, investigators continued their examination in the Bekasi Mayor's office, to be precise, the pavilion located at the back of the Bekasi City Government Plaza Building.

"There were two suitcases and one large bag that was brought into the car. There were two Innova cars, one black and the other silver," he said.

Bekasi City Regional Secretary Renny Hendrawati, who was summoned by the KPK to witness the search, was reluctant to comment when asked for information. He was silent and immediately entered the Bekasi Mayor's office area to assist investigators.

This examination is strongly suspected to complete the filing of the investigation into the corruption case that dragged the Mayor of Bekasi Rahmat Effendi along with eight other suspects.

It is known that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday (6/1) evening had named nine suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of goods and services as well as the auction of positions within the Bekasi City Government.

In addition to Rahmat Effendi, the Secretary of the Bekasi City Investment and PTSP Office M Bunyamin alias MB, the Head of the Bekasi City Disperkimtan Jumhana Lutfi (JL), Jati Sari Mulyadi (MY) Village Head, and Jati Sampurna Sub-district Head Wahyudin (WY) were named as suspects for receiving bribes in this case. .

Four other suspects, each Director of PT ME Ali Amril alias AA, private party Lai Bui Min (LBM), Director of PT KBR Suryadi (AY), and the Sub-district Head of Rawalumbu Makhfud Saifudin (MS) were named suspects for giving bribes.

This case was first revealed when the KPK team carried out a hand arrest operation in the Bekasi City area on Wednesday (5/1).
