Amid The Omicron Threat, Depok City Holds 100 Percent PTM Starting January 24

JAKARTA - Head of the Depok City Education Office, Wijayanto, said that 100 percent face-to-face learning (PTM) in the area will begin on January 24, 2022.

"The COVID-19 Task Force is currently discussing the technical details," he said in a statement in Depok, West Java, Friday, January 7, as reported by Antara.

Preparations for the program are continuing at various schools in the area.

Head of the West Java Education Office, Dedi Supandi, stated that West Java was ready to hold 100 percent PTM because most local areas had the status of Level 1 Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) and only two areas were still Level 2 PPKM.

However, he said, all regions must implement PTM 100 percent.

"Actually all regions, PTMs have to see developments later, there are 100 percent and 50 percent of these PTMs refer to the PPKM issued by the Minister of Home Affairs," he said.

He said that the two areas with PPKM Level 2 status were not because there were high COVID-19 cases, but the vaccination achievement was still low.

PTM 100 percent in West Java, he said, there is no delay.

Until now, in West Java there are still areas that have PPKM Level 2 and there are 100 percent PTM implementation regulations.

"It's not a delay, that PTM there are some restrictions on PTM 100 regulation," he said.
