Sports Teacher Who Molested His Student In Toba, North Sumatra, Arrested By Police

MEDAN - The teacher with the initials HMS (31) in Toba Regency, North Sumatra has to deal with the authorities. He was arrested after committing molestation against his student.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Toba Police, AKP Nelson Sipahutar, who was accompanied by the Head of the Subdivision of Public Relations, Iptu B Samosir, said that HMS' depraved actions were carried out while in his room, namely the gym teacher's room.

"The chronology of the incident when a teacher sexually harassed a student took place at a private junior high school in Balige," said AKP Nelson when confirmed, Friday, January 7.

The incident occurred on Friday, December 17, 2021 morning. At that time, the victim was called by HMS to the gym teacher's room. The victim was then raped.

Suddenly the victim reported this to his parents and immediately made a report to the Toba Police. The sports teacher's message via cellphone to students who were molested became evidence.

"The perpetrator also kissed the victim's left, right and forehead. After being hugged, the child was told to come out," he said.

The police also asked parents who received the same report as the victim regarding the abuse of the teacher to immediately report it to the Toba Police. The police promised to handle it.

"Until now, we are still investigating the victims, which we are treating," he said.

The suspect has now been detained in the Toba Police detention room. The perpetrator is considered to have violated Article 82 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 76 e of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2016.

"With an estimated prison sentence of 5 to 15 years," he said.
