JAKARTA - A python with a length of two meters was found under the bed of a resident of Jalan Wine, RT 12/12, Kelurahan Head Dua Wetan, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.

Head of the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. of Ops, Gatot Sulaeman, said that his party received reports of snakes at the location from information from residents.

According to Gatot, the python was found when the occupants of the house were about to enter the bedroom with their pet cat. However, the cat was reluctant to enter the room.

"After checking in the room, it turned out that there was a snake under the bed," said Gatot when contacted, Friday, December 7.

Then his party deployed four personnel to evacuate the 8-centimeter diameter snake.

"The snake was successfully evacuated using tongs. Later the snake will be handed over to reptile lovers," he said.
