Makassar City Government Screening Elementary School Students Who Learn Face-to-face With Genose

MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Government held a health check for elementary school (SD) students using the Genose test kit.

Deputy Mayor of Makassar Fatmawati Rusdi said screening using Genose was one of the efforts to determine the health conditions for these students after the implementation of face-to-face learning (PTM).

"The Genose test is carried out to ensure that every elementary school-level student who takes part in the face-to-face learning process in the even semester of early 2022, is confirmed to be healthy and not exposed to COVID-19," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 6.

Fatmawati Rusdi, who went directly to monitor the implementation of the Genose test, said that health checks would be carried out every month for 132,000 elementary school students in Makassar.

"The target is that all 132,000 elementary school students will be monitored regularly by screening using the Genose tool, this is to determine the health status of elementary school students," he said.

According to him, Makassar City is very lucky to have a Genose test kit because this tool can be used to monitor the health status of students during the teaching and learning process.

"Fortunately, Makassar City has Genose. With screening using Genose, we will know the health status of our students, in addition to the strict Prokes, as well as a school task force that is actively monitoring. We hope Omicron does not arrive in Makassar City," he explained.

Apart from Minasa Upa Elementary School, Vice Mayor Fatmawati Rusdi also visited the National Private Elementary School and PAM Pilot Elementary School on Jalan Ratulangi to monitor the implementation of screening using Genose.
