MEDAN - Lawyers for the Governor of North Sumatra (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi requested that the incident of the act of jewering the ears of the billiard coach for the Papua PON Khairuddin Aritonang alias Choki not be brought into the political realm.

"So, just looking at the manipulation, it has been led to politics. I say that people who have a political passion, please hold on a little," said Gubsu Edy's lawyer, Junirwan, Thursday, January 6, in Medan.

Junirwan explained what happened in the viral video when the activity was not like what is now developing in the community.

"Those who know the problem, those who know what actually happened are not like the one in the video. The one who knows is my client, the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi, he who really knows what happened at that time," he said.

The lawyer said that the ear tugging that Governor Edy had done was affectionate tweaking. There was no intention of the former Kostrad Commander, to hurt Choki's heart.

"He (Edy Rahamayadi) only held his shoulders and ears, because at that time the person concerned was not listening, and some said he might be asleep, that's why he was called. One more thing when he was given a mic, he was invited to a dialogue, at that time, he should have had a dialogue defend myself," he explained.

Junirwan said Governor Edy did not expect Choki to report himself to the North Sumatra Police. The lawyer considered this report inappropriate, because the son reported the father to the police.

"Pak Edy himself did not suspect at all that this was made into a report to the police. Diakan (Edy Rahmayadi) said that I was his coach. How come he reported it, it's like a child reporting his coach. A parent educates a child, then the child reporting their parents like that, it's not good, right," said Junirwan.
