Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution Affirms Key Collaboration In Running Government Programs

MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution emphasized that collaboration is the key to the success of implementing the Medan City Government program.

"Why is collaboration needed, because the government's task may look easy. But it's actually difficult if you go alone," said Bobby Nasution when attending the Panca Budi University Graduation in Medan, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.

Bobby Nasution said that contributions from all parties, including the community, are needed so that development programs can be realized and the results are felt equally by the community.

In addition, he continued, the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Medan City Government and Panca Budi University is expected to bring prosperity to the local community.

Bobby also said that students also played a role in providing advice and supervision, so that the Medan City Government found a lack of service and needed to make improvements.

To note, apart from the graduation procession, Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution and Panca Budi University Chancellor Muhammad Isa Indrawan signed the implementation of Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka in the field of MSME development as well as research and development.

"In 2021, we will face many challenges, including the handling of COVID-19. However, Alhamdulillah, thanks to our collaboration, we were able to bring the number of COVID-19 cases down," he said.

"Even in 2021, local revenue will exceed 2019. This year our budget will reach more than Rp6 trillion. This is the money of the people of Medan City, so the allocation needs to be monitored so that it is right on target," said Bobby.

He congratulated him with the hope that the knowledge gained by graduating students, whether postgraduate, undergraduate or diploma, could be useful for many people.

"I wish you success and be able to apply the knowledge you have for the benefit of many people," said the Mayor of Medan.
