Tulungagung Prosecutor's Office Receives Refund Of State Losses Of Rp196 Million From Kia Graha Contractor

TULUNGAGUNG - The Tulungagung District Prosecutor's Office has received a refund of state losses resulting from corruption in the district road widening project in the area in the 2018 budget year worth Rp196.8 million from contractor PT Kia Graha.

"This is the third return deposit from the total state loss of IDR 2,437 billion as reported by the BPKP (Financial and Development Audit Agency) audit", said Tulungagung District Attorney's Intelligence and Security Section Head, Tri Radityo, quoted by Antara on Wednesday, January 5.

Previously, in March and July 2021, the construction services company owned by the entrepreneur with the initials AK had also deposited a refund of state losses of IDR 361 million and IDR 711 million.

The money returned was IDR 196.8 million. The money will be temporarily deposited at Bank Mandiri's Diponegoro Branch, Tulungagung.

From the PUPR case, said Agung, four roads are suspected of being overpaid, causing billions of rupiah in state losses.

The four road sections in the 2018 fiscal year project that are suspected of being objects of corruption are Jeli-Picisan, Sendang-Penampihan, Boyolangu-Campurdarat, and Tenggong-Purwodadi.

"Hopefully with this process, everything can be returned to the state treasury", said Agung.

The loss that has not been returned is the construction of the Boyolangu-Campurdarat road section of IDR 340 million.

The four roads are carried out by one operator. As a result of this reduction in road specifications, according to him, the quality of the roads has deteriorated.
