Governor Of Aceh Nova Extends PPKM Until January 17

ACEH - Aceh Governor, Nova Iriansyah, issued Governor Instruction Aceh Number 01/INSTR/2022/ concerning the Implementation of Micro-based Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level 3, level 2, and level 1 as well as optimizing the COVID-19 handling post at the village level for control spread of COVID-19 until January 17, 2022.

"This Governor Instruction is a follow-up to the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 02 of 2022 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities at Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 and Optimizing the Command Post for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 at the Village and Sub-District Levels", said the Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of the Aceh Regional Secretariat, Muhammad Iswanto, in Banda Aceh as reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.

He explained that the governor's instructions were addressed to the Regents and Mayors throughout Aceh, as well as the Heads of the Aceh Apparatus Work Unit (SKPA), which included provisions to be applied in their respective regions.

"In the instruction, the Regent/Mayor is asked to regulate the implementation of Micro PPKM up to the Gampong level which has the potential to cause COVID-19 transmission, taking into account the zoning criteria for regional control up to the Gampong level", said Iswanto.

Specifically to the four mayors, namely the mayors of Banda Aceh, Sabang, Lhokseumawe, and Langsa, as well as to the 2 regents, namely the Simeulue regent and the Aceh Tamiang regent whose areas were determined according to the criteria for the level of the pandemic situation based on an assessment, with level 1 criteria, in addition to regulating micro PPKM in general, also regulates taking into account local wisdom and current conditions.

Furthermore, to the Mayor of Subulussalam, as well as to the 15 Regents, namely the Regents of South Aceh, Southeast Aceh, East Aceh, Central Aceh, Aceh Besar, Pidie, Aceh Singkil, Bireuen, West Aceh, Southwest Aceh, Gayo Lues, Aceh Jaya, Nagan Raya, Bener Meriah and Pidie Jaya whose areas were determined according to the criteria for the level of the pandemic situation based on the assessment, with the level 2 criteria, in addition to regulating Micro PPKM in general, also specifically regulating taking into account local wisdom and current conditions.

Then to the Regent of North Aceh whose area is determined according to the criteria for the level of the pandemic situation based on an assessment, with the Level 3 criteria, in addition to regulating Micro PPKM in general, it also specifically regulates local wisdom and current conditions.

Iswanto further explained that the Governor Instruction also stated that the Regents and Mayors who did not implement the provisions referred to in this Governor Instruction would be subject to sanctions as stipulated in Article 67 to Article 78 of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government.
