Visited By Parents, Male Perpetrator Of Sexual Violence In Tambora It's Even Strange To Want To Marry Victim

JAKARTA - Tambora police officers, West Jakarta, arrested a middle-aged man with the initials CC (55) for allegedly being involved in sexual violence against a five-year-old child.

"We have secured the perpetrators with some evidence," said Tambora Police Chief Kompol Faruk Rozi when confirmed in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, January 5.

Faruk said that the disclosure of this heinous act began when the victim complained of feeling pain in certain body parts. The victim's parents also asked their child about the pain they were experiencing. The victim finally admitted to having been harassed by the perpetrator.

Furthermore, the victim's parents went to the perpetrator and asked for accountability regarding the alleged violence against children. However, the perpetrator did not apologize, instead gave an odd answer to marry the victim.

Not satisfied with the response, the victim's parents finally reported this incident to the police. The perpetrator was arrested by officers in the Tambora area on Sunday, January 2.

He told the police that he had done this five times. During those five times, the perpetrator used the modus operandi to lure the victim by giving him a certain amount of money.

Faruk revealed that the perpetrators were subject to Article 82 Junto 76 E of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law 23 of 2002 concerning child protection with the threat of imprisonment for 15 years.
