Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi Reportedly Arrested By KPK, His Assets Rp 6.3 Billion And Owns A Lot Of Land

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Bekasi City, West Java. One of the parties involved in the silent operation was the Mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendi.

Then how much wealth does Rahmat Effendi have?

Based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) which he reported on February 18, Rahmat was actually recorded as having assets worth IDR 7,936,917,238.

However, he also has a debt of IDR 1,553,199,591, so his total wealth is around IDR 6,383,717,647.

In the report, Rahmat is also recorded as having 39 assets in the form of land and buildings spread across the Bekasi and Subang areas, West Java. All of these assets have a value of IDR 6,346,0002,000.

In addition, he also recorded other assets in the form of transportation equipment worth Rp. 810 million, with details of a Toyota Crown sedan type SPR SL in 2003 with a value of Rp. 165 million; 1997 Chrysler Cher LTD CONTR 4.0 worth IDR 240 million; 1998 Jeep Cherokee with a value of Rp. 240 million; and a 1995 Jeep Cherokee worth Rp. 165 million. Through the report, it was also known that Rahmat Effendi had assets in the form of other movable assets worth Rp. 170 million and cash and cash equivalents of Rp. 610,915,238.

As previously reported, the KPK is still investigating the parties caught in the silent operation, including Rahmat Effendi.

Currently, the anti-corruption commission has 1x24 hours to conduct an examination to identify the suspects and the construction of the alleged corruption case. The KPK asks the public to be patient because investigators are still working.
