JAKARTA - The act of beatings and attacks by a group of youths in a house located in RW 03, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta, was apparently accompanied by robbery.

This was conveyed by Titi Suherti (48), parents of Marwan (23) and Ramdoni (25), victims of being beaten by a group of people.

After breaking into the victim's house and ganging up on the occupants of the house, the perpetrators also snatched a motorbike along with a Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) and a Motorized Vehicle Owner's Book (BPKB), four guitars with a total value of millions of rupiah, a 24-inch TV, and a piggy bank containing about Rp. 3 million from Titi's house.

Titi said the perpetrators robbed the property in her house shortly after the incident.

"After dawn, the incident ended, my children and I immediately left the house. But when I left, at around 07.00 WIB, the perpetrator came," Titi told reporters, Wednesday, January 5.

When Titi and her family left, the door to the house was indeed unlocked because previously the door had been damaged and was forcibly broken down by a group of youths who were ganging up on it.

"I saved myself because I was afraid of being hit again. I and the children immediately fled to the children's house in Cipinang Lontar (Jatinegara District). After that, I went to Bogor," he said.

Titi chose to move from her daughter's house in the Cipinang Lontar area to Bogor for fear of the perpetrators repeating their actions.

Moreover, the perpetrators had threatened not to stop the persecution until one member of Titi's family died, this left Titi severely traumatized.

"That's why I just dared to make a report to the Makassar Police. Because I was still traumatized, I calmed down first before reporting it to the police," he said.

To the officers of the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) of the Makassar Police, Titi reported two criminal cases of beatings and robberies to the Makassar Police Headquarters.

Previously, it was reported that two victims were beaten, named Marwan (23) and Ramdoni (25). Both of them were battered as a result of being beaten by dozens of perpetrators at their house in RW 03, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta.

According to victim Ramdoni, the beating his family experienced began when he and his sister were on their way home at around 03.00 WIB.

"So on the village road, the perpetrators rushed their motorbikes. So, my sister and I wanted to pass, when the incident happened, we both took motorbikes," said Ramdoni to reporters, Wednesday, January 5.

The two victims were polite by offering apologies when they were about to cross the perpetrator. They even wished them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

However, the perpetrators, who are known to be residents of the Cipinang Melayu Village, misunderstood, resulting in a dispute. The two victims were suddenly attacked by the perpetrator.

"The motorbike didn't crash, there was nothing. When I apologized and said Merry Christmas and New Year they suddenly attacked. My sister ran away to the house, chased them," he said.
