DPRD Highlights Position Of BPBD Head Of Surabaya City Government Still Filled With Plt

SURABAYA - The leadership of the Surabaya City DPRD highlighted the definitive position of the head of the Surabaya City Government Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), which is currently still vacant or filled by an executor (Plt).

"In Surabaya, Lurah has zero Plt, sub-district is zero Plt, only one OPD (regional apparatus organization) has not been filled, namely BPBD," said Deputy Chair of the Surabaya DPRD, Reni Astuti, quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi previously inaugurated 1,400 Surabaya City Government officials on December 31, 2021. The inauguration was due to having to adjust the name change of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) according to the new organizational structure and work procedures (SOTK) which took effect in early January 2022.

However, Reni continued, her party appreciates the position that for years has always been Plt so that it has double positions, but through the inauguration with a new OPD structure at the end of last year, almost all of them are now filled.

"Hopefully it will be filled soon," said the PKS politician.

Reni said previously there were nine OPD heads in the Surabaya City Government which were filled with Plt, two Plt sub-districts and 30 Plt lurahs.

"Congratulations on your work, congratulations on serving the citizens of Surabaya and making this city more advanced and better according to the vision and mission set out in the regional RPJMD regulations," he said.

He hopes that the formation of the new OPD which will take effect in the new year 2022 will be able to bring new hope and enthusiasm.

"The position is not to be proud of, but a mandate that will be accounted for by the public of Surabaya residents. Above all, of course before Allah Almighty. Now, the responsibility lies with the mayor and the appointed head of the OPD," he said.

The Surabaya DPRD, he continued, according to the main tasks and functions, will carry out the supervisory function with the spirit of togetherness for the city of Surabaya to continue to improve.

The Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, previously confirmed that his party would regularly rotate every one, two or a maximum of three years. For him, during that period, civil servants (PNS) within the Surabaya City Government had to be rotated so that they could feel each other's OPD.

"In 2022, the needs of the people will definitely be greater. I gave an example, when I went down myself there were still people who didn't go to school, there were stunting meals. When the flood came, the lurah didn't come down. I want with the same spirit in 2022 there will be changes. Because we are servants," he said.
