Mayor Of Tangerang Threatens To Close Business Actors Desperate To Violate Prokes

JAKARTA - Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah emphasized that he would impose severe sanctions in the form of operational closures for business actors who violate health protocol rules (prokes) during the implementation of the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Year celebrations.

He said the Tangerang City Government, Banten, had issued PPKM Level 1 regulations from December 14, 2021 to January 3, 2022, which contained eight rules for celebrating Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022.

Based on the SE Mayor of Tangerang Number: 180/6032-bag.hkm/2021 explained that there are eight points of rules for celebrating Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 which are listed in PPKM Level 1 which is valid from December 24, 2021 to January 1, 2022.

These rules include closing the square and park on December 30, 2021 - January 1, 2022. New Year's celebrations are carried out with families and avoid activities that cause crowds.

New Year's parades and processions are prohibited, the Peduli Protect application is used when entering and exiting shopping centers and only green categories are allowed. The 2022 New Year's activities in shopping centers will be cancelled, except for the MSME players.

The capacity of shopping centers is limited to a maximum of 75 percent, celebratory parties with open/closed crowds are prohibited and loudspeakers that cause people to gather are prohibited.

"If someone holds an event, we will give heavy sanctions, we can close it," said Arief, quoted on Saturday, January 1.

He explained that from the results of observations with the Police and the TNI ahead of the New Year's Eve at a number of crowded points, it was monitored that it was running smoothly
