Residents Affected By The Construction Of The Bandung Gedebage-Haurpugur Railway Receive Compensation, Totaling IDR 29 Billion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Railways paid compensation to residents affected by the construction of the Gedebage-Haurpugur Railway Double Track in Bandung, West Java, with a total value of IDR 29 billion.

"The compensation payments are made to support the smooth running of the National Strategic Project (PSN) promoted by President Joko Widodo," said West Java BTP Land Commitment Officer, Susiana, in his official statement, Antara, Saturday, January 1.

The payment of the compensation money, which has been determined by the Governor of West Java, will be carried out from September 20, 2021 to December 29, 2021, in seven places attended by the sub-district and local village heads.

"Alhamdulillah, after receiving a determination of the amount of compensation by the Governor of West Java, at the end of December 2021 the payment of compensation for affected residents between Kiaracondong-Cicalengka has been completed with the number of affected Kelurahan/Village as many as 14 (fourteen) and the number of affected residents in 836 areas," he said.

The compensation provided consists of the cost of cleaning everything above the ground (the cost of demolishing the house), mobilization, house rent and loss of income allowance costs.

The affected villages/villages include Babakan Sari, Sukapura, Antapani Kidul, Cisaranten Endah, Cisaranten Kulon, Babakan Penghulu, Cimencrang, Cibiru Hlir, Cinunuk, Cileunyi Wetan, Jelegong and Haurpugur villages. The amount of compensation varies according to the assessment criteria that have been carried out by the Appraisal/Public Appraisal Service Office.

"Based on Presidential Regulation Number 62 of 2018, that the demolition/emptying of buildings is carried out 7 (seven) days after receiving the compensation money," he said.

One of the residents who received the compensation, Siti Nurwanti said she was very grateful for the compensation.
