Drug Cases Are Still The Highest Crime Trend In Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - A total of 723 general criminal cases were successfully handled by the Central Jakarta District Attorney during a period of one year. In these hundreds of cases, narcotics crimes still dominate the cases, reaching 60 percent.

"The cases consist of theft, molestation, murder, traffic accidents, child protection, information and electronic transactions (ITE), immorality, immigration and others," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Central Jakarta District Attorney Bani Immanuel Ginting when confirmed by VOI, January 1st.

The most prominent drug cases, continued Bani, were the defendants Nur Rachman alias Dade alias Ivan bin Manin Permana and Honi Aprizal alias Apri alias Oni bin Aby Tubagus.

Both were sentenced to the death penalty in the Narcotics case with evidence in the form of methamphetamine weighing 264.6188 Kilograms.

In addition, 15 DPOs from different cases were arrested by joint officers. The arrests were made with the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office and the Adhyaksa Monitoring Center (AMC).

"Then what stood out was the security of 11 activities in the Jiwasraya, Munarman, Kivlan Zen, Muhammad Rizieq Shihab and Nia Ramadhani cases," he said.

Meanwhile, related to special crimes, the Central Jakarta Kejari Kejari is also able to handle corruption cases in the case of providing credit facilities by Bank BRI Tanah Abang Branch to employees of PT. JAZMINA ASRI KREASI (PT. JAK) with state losses of Rp. 95,404,225,425,-

"Investigating the corruption case at Bank DKI in granting apartment ownership credit facilities to PT. BROADBIZ INTERNATIONAL with state losses of approximately Rp. 39,151,059,341, -," he said.

The number of cases that have been resolved until the execution, there are 16 people convicted of corruption. Among them, 3 people convicted of tax crimes and 1 convicted of customs and excise.

"The number of convicts who are included in the People's Wanted List (DPO) have been successfully arrested and executed as many as 13 convicts. The state financial losses that have been saved amounted to Rp. 26,395,652,753, -," he said.
