Banjarmasin Health Office Holds On The Road Vaccine On New Year's Eve, Targets 300 Residents To Be Injected

BANJARMASIN - The Banjarmasin City Health Office, South Kalimantan Province will hold a mobile COVID-19 vaccination service in all sub-districts on New Year's Eve 2022.

Head of the Banjarmasin City Health Office, Machli Riyadi, said that mobile vaccination services in on the road vaccine activities will be carried out on Friday from 20.00 to 22.00 WITA in five sub-districts.

"Mr. Dandim and Mr. Police Chief will participate in this on-the-road vaccine activity", Machli said in Banjarmasin, quoted from Antara on Friday, December 31.

In the vaccination service, he explained, officers will go around to give injections of the COVID-19 vaccine to residents who have not been vaccinated.

"But we don't do it by force, we just do it humanely", he said.

Machli targets the mobile COVID-19 vaccination service on New Year's Eve to reach as many as 300 residents.

In addition to providing mobile vaccination services, Machli said, the Health Office also provides mass vaccination services at sub-district offices.

"Residents only need to bring their ID cards and for children under 12 years of age bring a family card to get vaccination services", he said.

He said the government was intensifying the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination to achieve the target of 80 percent coverage of the target by the end of 2021.

According to data from the Ministry of Health's COVID-19 vaccination coverage, as of December 31, 2021, the coverage of the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination in Banjarmasin City has reached 78.2 percent of the 516,066 residents targeted for vaccination, while the coverage of the second dose of vaccination is only 59.5 percent of the target.
