Central Java Provincial Government Deploys 70 Thousand Liters Of Cooking Oil To Stabilize Prices

JATENG - The Central Java Provincial Government poured 70 thousand liters of cooking oil to various districts/cities through market operations to stabilize commodity prices on the market.

"We have carried out market operations regarding the high price of cooking oil. Friends have gone to various regions," said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang, Antara, Thursday, December 30.

Ganjar explained that market operations were carried out to intervene to stabilize commodity prices and that this was also important in controlling inflation.

"But if we look at the tolerance limit, everything is still under control. For cooking oil, the supply is also sufficient," he said.

Currently, Ganjar continued, market operations have only been carried out for cooking oil. All teams were asked to come down together to control price increases.

Ganjar has also ordered the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) to go into the field to solve problems one by one so that inflation in Central Java can be controlled.

However, Ganjar admits that some of the commodities in the upstream have not been harvested, so there are fluctuations.

"Currently, we are only carrying out market operations for cooking oil, we hope to stabilize prices soon. If it is unstable, it's dangerous, then besides market operations, I ask TPID to jump in to solve the existing problems one by one," he said.
