YOGYAKARTA - The police have arrested six people in connection with the alleged assault and stabbing case on Jalan Kaliurang or known as Jakal, Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region.

The Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Kombes Yuliyanto, said that the six people were arrested on Monday, December 27 at 21.00 WIB.

He explained that at first the victim and three of his friends bought food at a stall, Sardonoharjo Village, Ngaglik, Sleman around 24.00 WIB.

After eating, the victim and his partner traveled home. However, when crossing Jalan Kaliurang at around 01.30 WIB, the victim who was riding an automatic motorbike was thrown by a bottle by the perpetrator, then kicked him until he fell.

Feeling threatened, the victim then ran for safety. However, the victims are still being chased by the perpetrators.

"The victim ran, was chased, and was abused by his opponent using a knife (a sharp weapon)," said Yuliyanto.

As a result of the abuse, the victim suffered injuries to his palms, front teeth, and back. After receiving a report from the victim, said Yuliyanto, the Ngaglik Police together with the DIY Police are looking for the perpetrators.

Six perpetrators of the persecution who have now been detained at the Ngaglik Sector Police are currently undergoing investigation.

"Currently we are exploring their respective roles to determine whether the person concerned can be continued for investigation or not," he said.

Meanwhile, the Sleman Police Chief AKBP Wachyu Tri Budi mentioned the arrests of the perpetrators at their respective residences, and some of them were students.

"There are minors. However, on average, there is only one person under the age of adults," said Wachyu.

Wachyu revealed that the motive for the abuse was triggered by an offense between the perpetrators and the victim on the road.

Before getting involved in the commotion, according to him, the perpetrators who were members of a student gang held an activity at a hotel, Jalan Kaliurang.

"Their motive is only offense on the road," he said again.
