Sukabumi Police Remind Tourists Including Residents To Activate Care Protect

SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi Police reminded tourists who are about to go to or are already at a tourist attraction in Sukabumi Regency, West Java to activate the PeduliLindungi application on their respective cellular phones.

"One of the requirements for tourists to come to tourist objects is that they must be able to show proof that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 through the PeduliLindung application," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Dedy Darmawansyah in Sukabumi, Antara, Tuesday, December 28.

According to Dedy, his party has also alerted joint personnel from elements of the TNI, Polri and the Sukabumi Regency Government at every entrance to tourist attractions to ask tourists to show the Cares for Protect application by scanning the barcode prepared.

If it is found that there are tourists who have not been vaccinated, the officers will direct them to the vaccine booth provided by the Sukabumi Police to undergo vaccination.

In addition, in the vaccination process, his party collaborated with the Sukabumi District Health Office to carry out health checks for each participant who wanted to undergo a COVID-19 vaccine injection.

He continued, his party also mobilized personnel to conduct sweeps to a number of points to ask tourists and the public who are active around the tourist attraction, whether they have been vaccinated or not.

"In an effort to anticipate the spread of COVID-19, especially around tourist attractions, we also conduct quick checks on visitors and if later it is found that someone has been exposed. We immediately coordinate with health workers for further handling, such as isolating people who are confirmed positive to the nearest hospital, " he added.

Dedy said officers who were deployed at tourist attractions and other crowded places, in addition to sweeping tourists who had not been vaccinated, also gave an appeal to be disciplined in implementing health protocols and distributing masks.

The efforts made by the Sukabumi Police are in addition to assisting the government in providing vaccines to the community, as well as accelerating the formation of herd immunity. Because, one of the most effective ways to reduce the transmission rate of this deadly virus is vaccination.
