Prosecutor Reported To NTB Prosecutor's Office For CPNS Selection Fraud Case With A Dowry Of IDR 160 Million

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office received a complaint report regarding allegations that an individual prosecutor with the initials EP committed a criminal act of fraud by promising the victim to pass the selection of prospective civil servants (CPNS).

"So, in addition to having been reported to the police, the victim has also been reported to the NTB Prosecutor's Office for Supervision," said NTB Prosecutor's Office spokesman Dedi Irawan in Mataram, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 28.

The complaint report, he said, was received on Friday, December 24. The NTB Prosecutor's Office through the field of supervision has followed up with an agenda for examination of the reported and the reporting parties.

"Against the complaint report, the complainant and the reported party will be summoned and an examination will be carried out, including the witnesses, the agenda is next week," he said.

The agenda for the examination by the NTB Prosecutor's Office of Supervision, said Dedi, was related to the disciplinary rules for civil servants and the prosecutor's code of ethics. If proven, there will be sanctions.

"The investigation is related to violations of civil servant discipline, including violations of the prosecutor's code of ethics, if the person concerned is proven," he said.

The complaint report was received by the NTB Attorney General's Office from the victim with the initials ME. The victim reported it because the reported party did not keep his promise. The reported party at that time guaranteed that the victim would pass the CPNS if he submitted a dowry of IDR 160 million.

The money was also given to the reported party in stages, complete with proof of receipt. The handover was carried out at the house of the prosecutor's office in Mataram City, namely at the house of JT, the prosecutor who introduced ME to the reported party.

Until the announcement came out, ME's name did not appear on the graduation list. The promise has changed, the EP guarantees the victim will pass through a special route.

However, the victim did not get any fresh air from the reported party. Until finally the victim gave up and asked for a refund of Rp160 million.

"I want to take the money. However, until now it has not been returned. I was promised every week, every month," said the victim.

On that basis, the victim reported EP to the NTB Prosecutor's Office and also the Mataram Police. His report to the police relates to allegations of fraud and embezzlement.
