PKS Affirms Opposition's Position In Parliament, Often Votes Out Loud But Foundered Because The Number Is Only 50

"As an opposition faction and party, we reaffirm to provide political lessons, carry out checks and balances and not to interfere with the running of the government," said Jazuli during a kaleidoscope and year-end evaluation of the PKS Faction DPR RI 2021, in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 28. .

Jazuli said that if the Government took a policy that favored the people and the people and safeguarded the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), it would not be ashamed to give appreciation to the Government's policy.

However, he said again, if the government's policies hurt people's feelings, hurt the sense of justice and undermined the values of the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia, his party would not hesitate to provide constructive criticism and solutions.

"Don't consider it discrediting the government and hating the government. But it is a form of love, so we really become a visible part of our role, even though we are in opposition. We will continue to invite the Indonesian people to protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," Jazuli said as quoted by Antara.

Jazuli revealed that of the 575 members of the DPR RI, PKS only has 50 members. So, he said again, it is natural in making decisions, aspirations often run aground.

"We vote loudly in the parliament's pulpit, because the number is only 50 people, sometimes aground by a majority vote," he also said.

According to Jazuli, many of the aspirations of the people and the people have been conveyed by members of the PKS faction in parliament, although most people have not heard and know about it.

"Until now, we don't have TV, radio and newspaper stations. We only use volunteers who use social media, of course this has limitations," said Jazuli.

Jazuli reiterated the vision of the PKS Faction to be at the forefront of fighting for the interests of the people to create an Indonesia with character, dignity, justice and prosperity.
