Bajo Independent Candidates Will Pass Verification, Ready To Face Gibran In The Solo Pilkada

JAKARTA - The independent candidate pair Bagyo Wahyono-FX Suparjo (Bajo) has passed the factual verification of KPU Surakarta (Solo). Bajo has the right to register his candidacy in the Solo Pilkada.

"The BAJO pair meet the requirements in fulfilling the number of support and distribution requirements to register from individual channels," said the Head of KPU Solo, Nurul Sutarti, confirmed by VOI, Friday, August 21.

According to Nurul, the Bajo pair, they have the support of 38,831 people. This amount of support is an accumulation of the number of initial supports declared eligible by the KPU, namely 28,629.

"Plus the repair period of 10,202, so a total of 38,831 spread across 5 districts," said Nurul.

This amount of support exceeds the requirement for a minimum amount of support, namely 35,870 spread over at least 3 sub-districts.

Ready for battle

The Bajo independent pair previously stated that they were ready to face political contestation with Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Teguh Prakosa in the Solo Pilkada. Gibran bought support from PDIP, Gerindra, PAN, Golkar and PSI.

Support for Bagyo and Suparjo — the chairman of RW 07 Kampung Karangturi — came from volunteers from the mass organization Panji-Panji Hati or known as Tikus Pithi Hanata Baris. These volunteers moved to socialize Bajo and also donated in an effort to win the Solo Pilkada.

"This is the people's struggle, because this is mutual cooperation from all over Indonesia. The strength of the members (Pithi Rat) is over a million. Later on, later, if it's IDR 50,000, IDR 100,000, (so) how much? ” Bagyo said to VOI, Wednesday, August 19.

According to him, the movement began by relying on direct meeting of residents 'door to door'. The strength of these volunteers is what Bajo relies on.

Because for Bagyo, matters of political battles, including in the Solo Pilkada, are not only about support from political parties. As long as the community supports it, Bajo is ready to compete in the Solo Pilkada.

"Currently, the establishment of the party is clear. So breaking the establishment is the main thing, including in the city of Solo. We really broke into it, "said Bagyo, who is a tailor daily.
