This Is Not Good News, Only 3.47 Percent Of Child Vaccination In Gunung Kidul

JAKARTA - The Health Office of Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta noted that the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination for ages 6-11 years in the area had only reached 3.47 percent or 1,964 of the total 66,586 targets.

"We are trying to vaccinate children 6-11 years old. We are also trying to vaccinate the first dose to other general targets," said Head of the Gunung Kidul Health Service, Dewi Irawaty in Gunung Kidul, Monday, December 27, as reported by Antara.

He said the overall achievement of the first dose of vaccination in Gunung Kidul had only reached 73.51 percent or 479,087 of the total 651,731 targets. Then the second dose only reached 62.77 percent or 409,118 targets.

The achievements of each target of the first dose, namely health human resources amounted to 177.63 percent or 5,375 targets, public officers amounted to 69.51 percent or 45,630 targets, elderly were 68.53 percent or 85,066 targets, the general public was 81.98 percent or 281,351 targets, youth by 100.94 percent or 59,701 targets, and children by 3.47 percent or 1,964 targets.

"We are trying our best to vaccinate against COVID-19 for all targets," he said.

Furthermore, Dewi said that today there were no additional confirmed cases of COVID-19. So that the total number of COVID-19 patients during the pandemic was 17,997 cases, with details of 16,959 recovered cases, five active cases, and 1,033 deaths.

"Until now, there are five active cases of COVID-19 in Gunung Kidul. Four cases were spread in Panggang and one case in Tanjungsari," he said.
