JAKARTA - The Banten Police have named six suspects for the action of workers occupying the office of the Governor of Banten Wahidin Salim which was carried out on Wednesday, December 22.

The six suspects are AP (46), a resident of Tigaraksa, Tangerang, SH (33), a resident of Citangkil, Cilegon, SR (22) a woman, a resident of Cikupa, Tangerang, SWP (20) a woman, a resident of Kresek, Tangerang, OS (28) a resident of Cisoka, Tangerang, and MHF (25) residents of Cikedal, Pandeglang.

The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police explained that the suspects were arrested after the Governor of Banten, Wahidin Halim, through his attorney, Asep Abdullah Busro, made a report on Friday, December 24, at 15.30 WIB with LP number no. 496.

"After receiving the report, the Ditreskrimum of the Banten Police acted quickly by identifying the perpetrators based on the documentation submitted by the complainant. The data of the perpetrators were identified using the face recognizer tool of the Inafis Unit of the Banten Police Directorate General of Criminal Investigation," explained Shinto Silitonga in a written statement, Monday, December 27.

Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Banten Police, Kombes Pol. Ade Rahmat Idnal, said that from the results of the examination, the status of the six suspects was increased to suspect.

"From the results of the investigation, four suspects, namely AP (46), SH (33), SR (22), SWP (20) were subject to Article 207 of the Criminal Code concerning intentionally publicly insulting a state power by sitting at the governor's desk, lifting his feet above the ground. Governor's desk and other unethical actions, with a penalty of 18 months in prison, the 4 suspects were not detained," said Ade Rahmat Idnal.

As for the two suspects, OS (28) and MHF (25), Ade Rahmat Idnal explained that they were subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding the destruction of goods together.

"The last two suspects are subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code, namely jointly destroying goods in the Banten Governor's office, with a penalty of 5 years and 6 months in prison," said Ade Rahmat Idnal.
