JAKARTA - The Christmas Mass which was held in three sessions at the Jakarta Cathedral Church has been completed solemnly, peacefully, and without any problems.

The Head Pastor of the Cathedral Church, Father Albertus Hani Rudi Hartoko, thanked all those who helped ensure the smooth running of worship.

"We want to thank the TNI, Polri, and also the DKI Regional Government, and community organizations involved for being able to enable us Christians to celebrate Christmas well," said Father Albertus at the Cathedral Church, Saturday, December 25.

Father Albertus saw that the Christmas Mass which was attended by the church congregation could run smoothly with the help of various parties. He called this a sign of well-established diversity.

"It is a joy that this celebration is a sign of brotherhood and a sign of hope for joy for all of us, all the diverse Indonesian people," said Father Albertus.

It is known, in this activity, the Cathedral requires the congregation who attends to register online beforehand. The cathedral also provides online broadcasts on the Jakarta Cathedral Komsos Youtube.

During the Christmas celebrations on December 25, 2021, Mass was held three times, namely the Pontifical Mass by the Bishop at 09.00 WIB which was broadcast online and by TVRI, as well as face-to-face.

Then, the second mass is at 11.00 WIB for online only and the last one is at 17.00 WIB with face-to-face and online.

At this year's Christmas celebration, the cathedral took the theme "The Love of Christ That Moves Brotherhood".

The face-to-face Christmas Eve and Christmas Mass services at the Cathedral are limited to 650 parishioners or 40 percent of the church's capacity.
