JAKARTA - General Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Central Executive Haedar Nashir believes that the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board under the leadership of KH Miftachul Akhyar as Rais 'Aam and KH Cholil Yahya Staquf as General Chair for the 2021-2026 period will increasingly embrace all Muslim groups.

"In particular, both of them can continue to maintain and improve ukhuwah Islamiyah with all groups of Muslims as well as ukhuwah Indonesia with all components of the nation in our beloved country," said Haedar in a written statement quoted from Antara, Saturday, December 25.

The two PBNU figures, Haedar believed, were able to lead and carry the independence movement of NU as the theme of the congress and the hopes of the Nahdliyin extended family.

Haedar hopes that the friendship and cooperation that has been well established between PBNU and PP Muhammadiyah will increase for the benefit of the people and the nation.

"We believe that both of them are wise pious figures in caring for ukhuwah and the dignity of Muslims as the riding roots of Islamic organizations in this country, as well as being solemn to advance the nation and the world of humanity above authentic Islamic values and rahmatan lil 'alamin. , said Haedar.

To the General Chairperson of the PBNU last period, Prof. DR KH Said Aqil Siroj along with all ranks, Haedar expressed his gratitude for the well-knitted friendship and cooperation so far.

"Hopefully he as a senior figure can continue to serve the interests of the people and the nation," said Haedar.
