MEDAN - The man who was beaten by a car driver in the parking lot of a mini market in Medan City reported to the police. Video footage of the abuse of the owner of a parked motorbike and being hit by the perpetrator's car has gone viral on social media.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Deli Tua Police Iptu Zuhatta Mahadi said the video was being investigated. The case is now being handled by the Medan Polrestabes.

"The victim has made a report on December 17, 2021 at the Resort Police," said Iptu Zuhatta, to reporters, Friday, December 24.

Shortly after, a man who was thought to be in his teens was seen leaving the mini market wearing a skullcap and a shirt. The teenager was seen talking to the man driving the car.

Based on the information, the teenager asked the car owner to shift his car. At that time the male driver slapped the teenager.

The victim did not resist. Instead the man threw a kick at him and hit him back.

The commotion was immediately dispersed by local residents. The car driver immediately left the convenience store.
