5 Churches In Boyolali Get Special Security, Before Mass The Central Java Police Jibom-Gegana Team Performs Sterilization

BOYOLALI - The Boyolali Police have provided special security by tightening security for five churches that will hold Masses and services for the 2021 Christmas and New Years.

"There are five churches in Boyolali that are of concern because they have a fairly large congregation of 1,000 to 1,500 people, so there is a potential for vulnerability," said Head of the Boyolali Police AKBP Morry Ermond after the 2021 Temple Candle Operation Ceremony at the Boyolali Police Headquarters, Central Java, Antara, Thursday, December 23.

The Boyolali Police have coordinated with the Jibom Team and the Gegana Brimob Unit of the Central Java Police in Surakarta for sterilization activities before Christmas. In security, the police also cooperate with the TNI.

The Head of Operations for the Boyolali Police, Kompol Budiarto, added that the implementation of health protocols in a number of churches was carried out well. In fact, many churches are already using the PeduliLindung application.

"We inform you that places of worship refer to the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 67/2021, namely that people who may enter the church are limited to around 50 percent of the room's capacity," he said.

The Regent of Boyolali, M Said Hidayat, hopes that the 2021 Candi Candle Operation in Boyolali will run smoothly and safely so that Christians can attend services with full comfort and safety.

Residents are also asked to stay at home when welcoming New Year's Eve to avoid potential COVID-19 clusters. The Regent also advised people outside the city to refrain from going home.
