Anies Provides Ambulance In The Thousand Islands

JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta launched the provision of ambulance ships to be placed in the Thousand Islands under the name Prof Abdulrachman Saleh ambulance ship.

This Prof Abdulrachman Saleh Ambulance Ship is the first Emergency Ambulance Ship which has 3 rooms, including an advance room, an infectious room in which there is a hepafiler, and a basic and perina room equipped with an incubator.

Anies said this ship could help in handling emergency health services. With this, the DKI Provincial Government seeks to provide equal access and health services.

“We want those who live in the islands to feel equal in service. We are sending a message to all residents of the capital city that equality of opportunity and service must exist. This means that what is done on the mainland must also be done in the archipelago," said Anies at City Hall, Thursday, December 23.

Anies explained the meaning of giving the name to the ambulance ship. Abdulrachman Saleh is a national hero from Jakarta. He was also a doctor in the early period of independence, an expert in physiology, a pioneer in radio technology, as well as a pioneer in Indonesian aviation.

"And the name given is Prof. dr. Abdul Rahman Saleh. Thank you for being here, the family of Mr. Abdulrachman Saleh. During his life he was nicknamed karbol which means role model. He was one of the early doctors from Jakarta, the father of physiology, and so on," explained Anies.

“This republic is full of people who gave their lives to fight for justice. It's not just independence, and when the ambulance ship wants to be named, we have to give the name that carries the message and Abdulrachman Saleh is very appropriate," he added.
