KUDUS - The Central Java Regional State Intelligence Agency (BIN) is helping to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination in Kudus Regency by vaccinating around the homes of residents who have not been vaccinated.

"Vaccination at residents' homes is targeted at the elderly (elderly) and disabled groups who find it difficult to visit COVID-19 vaccination sites," said Head of Central Java Regional BIN Brigadier General Sondi Siswanto in Kudus, Tuesday, December 21.

He revealed that the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination round-trip involved local village officials to show the residences of residents who had not been able to visit the vaccination site to be vaccinated at their homes.

The enthusiasm of the residents, he said, was quite good because they were also grateful for being able to get the vaccine without having to go to the vaccination site and no need to queue.

In general, vaccinations are held in two places, namely in the Graha Mustika Getas Pejaten building, Jati, and Kawedanan Jekulo Districts.

While the vaccination target in Kudus Regency is 1,500 doses with the vaccines provided, namely the Astrazeneca and Sinovac vaccines.

The omicron virus variant has now been confirmed to enter Indonesia. However, the public is asked not to worry, provided they continue to apply strict health protocols and carry out vaccinations.

The public is also asked to continue to limit travel during Christmas and New Year 2022. The provision of complete vaccines has so far been proven to reduce severe symptoms in COVID-19 sufferers, thereby reducing the fatal impact of COVID-19 survivors.

Regarding the concept of vaccination by picking up the ball, it is still a strategy for Central Java Regional BIN in pursuing vaccination achievements, considering that many residents who have not been vaccinated do have problems in reaching the locations of vaccination centers.

By bringing vaccination services closer to the village level, even visiting people's homes, he is optimistic that more and more people will be vaccinated and assisted in getting the vaccine.
