Jakarta Is Raining, Jalan Kemang Raya And 21 RT In South Jakarta Are Inundated

JAKARTA - A number of areas in Jakarta were hit by rain this afternoon. As a result, several points were submerged by floods and puddles.

Head of the Disaster Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) for the DKI Jakarta BPBD, Mohammad Insaf, said that one road section was inundated, namely Jalan Kemang Raya in South Jakarta.

"Info inundation until 19.30 WIB, there is one section of the road that is inundated on Jalan Kemang Raya, Bangka Village, South Jakarta with a height of 40 centimeters," Insaf told reporters, Monday, December 20.

In addition, the DKI BPBD also noted that there were 21 RTs that were flooded in Petogogan Village, South Jakarta with water levels ranging from 40 to 60 centimeters.

The cause of the flooding that inundated Jalan Kemang Raya and 21 RT in South Jakarta was rain which caused the Krukut River to overflow.

However, Insaf said that so far, no residents affected by the floods in South Jakarta have evacuated.

"The inundation condition is being handled by the local urban village together with PPSU, BPBD TRC team, DSDA, Satpol PP, Tagana, and Disgulkarmat, targeted to subside in a short time," he explained.
