'Future Indonesian Leader', As PWNU DKI Is Called For Governor Anies Baswedan

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Management Samsul Ma'arif said that DKI Governor Anies Baswedan was the figure of Indonesia's future leader.

"I express my deepest gratitude to the Governor of DKI Jakarta as Indonesia's future leader," said Samsul during an audience with Anies Baswedan at Jakarta City Hall, Monday, December 20.

However, Samsul did not describe in detail if the designation was associated with the RI presidential candidate. Even so, he continued, Anies was considered to have contributed to the DKI Jakarta PWNU.

"We don't mention it (the president) but we hope that Pak Anies is worthy, suitable and can cooperate well with PWNU DKI Jakarta. So far, he has often made the best contribution to the NU Regional Management," he said as quoted by Antara.

The statement from the chairman of the PWNU DKI Jakarta was delivered directly in front of Anies when delivering a joint press statement at the Jakarta City Hall.

"We want Pak Anies to be our leader in the future," added Samsul Ma'arif.

Meanwhile, Governor Anies Baswedan did not give a response, but he only smiled regarding the signal of support for the PWNU DKI Chair.

The presence of PWNU DKI at City Hall for an audience related to the departure of the religious organization representing DKI Jakarta at the NU Congress in Lampung, 22-23 December 2021.

Governor Anies then at the same time released the departure of the delegation from Jakarta, which was scheduled to depart on Tuesday (21/12).

"We officially release the departure of the delegation from Jakarta, which tomorrow morning they will immediately leave for Lampung, so we hope that everyone is healthy on the trip and can participate in the Muktamar and Mukatamar running smoothly, successfully," said Anies.
