JAKARTA - West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Deputy AKP Niko Purba said the modus operandi of the perpetrator with the initials H (39) when sodomizing the victim was by luring a cellphone loan to the 7-year-old boy.

Victims may feel happy when they lend their cellphones to play games.

"The perpetrator committed an obscene act against a same-sex child who was still a child." AKP Niko told reporters, Monday, December 20.

From the results of the examination, the perpetrator did this depraved act for 4 months seven times. The perpetrator was arrested at his residence located in Kemanggisan Ilir, West Jakarta.

"The victim was also given a set of koko clothes for Eid and a watch. That's one of the things that made the victim want," he said.

In addition, the perpetrator also gave money to the victim.

"That's what makes the victim want. In addition, there is persuasion and pressure from the perpetrator. The perpetrator is still a bachelor," added Niko.

Meanwhile, regarding the sexual deviation experienced by the perpetrator, AKP Niko said that he could not confirm whether the perpetrator was a homosexual or a pedophile.

Maybe, he continued, the P2TP2A psychology team could conclude whether he was just a crime that leads to men or a pedophile disease.

"So, when we asked him, he said he was interested. We will cooperate with the P2TP2A psychology department to explore the psychology of the perpetrator," he said.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 76 in conjunction with Article 82 of the Child Protection Act with a maximum threat of 15 years in prison.

Previously reported, the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a man with the initials H (39) who had the heart to sodomize a 7-year-old boy, his neighbor in the Kemanggisan area, Palmerah, West Jakarta.

"So the perpetrator is a neighbor of the victim. The perpetrator committed an obscene act of the same sex," said Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation at the West Jakarta Metro Police AKP Niko Purba to reporters, Monday, December 20.

Niko said the perpetrator committed the crime of sexual sodomy in his own home. The perpetrator committed the depraved act seven times from February to May 2021.

The perpetrator is known to work as an office boy at a university in West Jakarta. Currently, the perpetrators are still undergoing examination at the West Jakarta Metro Police.
