Megawati Asks PDIP Cadres To Give The Best Respect To Frans Lebu Raya

KUPANG - The head of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarno Putri gave directions that all members and cadres bearing the white-nosed bull can pay their respects to the governor of NTT for the 2008-2018 period (two terms) Frans Lebu Raya. Frans died at Sanglah Hospital, Denpasar Bali.

“In the historical track record of the Party, Mr. Frans is a person who is firm in principles; Party fighter and in difficult times when he was under pressure from the authoritarian New Order government, Mr. Frans was very loyal to Bung Karno, Mrs. Megawati, and the PDI-P," said Secretary of the DPD PDI-P NTT Party, Yunus Takandewa, quoted by Antara, Sunday, December 19.

Yunus said Megawati, who had served as President of the Republic of Indonesia, ordered all Party members and cadres to imitate the struggle of Frans Lebu Raya by paying their last respects according to Party protocol.

Megawati stated in her personal notes since the PDI-P Congress in 2005, 2010, and 2015, Frans Lebu Raya has always been trusted by the delegates of Congress as the Chair of the Provisional Session of the Congress.

"Pak Frans also in front of the participants of the Congress led the ceremony of pronouncing the appointment of the elected general chairman by acclamation, Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri," said Yunus.

Yunus said the PDI-P expressed its condolences and deep condolences for the death of a senior Party and Party fighter, Frans Lebu Raya, the former governor of NTT and the chairman of the DPD PDI-P of NTT.

"As soon as I got the news, I immediately reported it to Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri. He conveyed his deep condolences, prayed that Pak Frans Lebu Raya would have a smooth path and get the best place in Heaven," he added.
