Ahead Of Christmas And New Year, Jakarta Basarnas Centers Disaster Preparedness Rescue Teams In 5 Areas

JAKARTA - Head of the Jakarta Basarnas Hendra Sudirman deployed a number of facilities and infrastructure as well as personnel preparedness ahead of the 2021 Christmas Day and 2022 New Year celebrations. The SAR alert will be carried out from Friday 17 December 2021 to 4 January 2022, next.

"We deploy the main tools such as Rescue Carrier, Rescue Car, Rescue Truck, Personnel Truck, State Ship (KN) SAR 103 Wisnu, Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), Rescue Boat (RB) 410, Jetski, Medical Equipment, Diving Equipment, Equipment Extraction and Urban SAR Equipment," said Hendra when confirmed by VOI, Saturday, December 18.

Hendra said, according to the instructions of the Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS), Marshal TNI Henri Alfiandi, the purpose of this year's Special SAR Alert is for the realization of fast, precise, safe and reliable SAR services (Quick Response SAR).

"There are approximately 5 points in the Jakarta Basarnas working area which are the center of our attention for rescue personnel to be placed on the Nataru Special SAR Alert this year," he said.

Furthermore, Hendra said that the preparation was supported by personnel who would be mobile to carry out monitoring in the area.

"As our anticipation of what will happen," he said.

The rescue personnel to be alerted include Soekarno Hatta International Airport (Tangerang), Tg. Priok Port (Jakarta), Kali Adem Port (Jakarta), Thousand Islands (Jakarta), and Palabuhan Ratu (Sukabumi).

In addition, this Special SAR Alert will also be supported by rescue personnel from SAR units and posts under the auspices of the Jakarta Basarnas such as the Thousand Islands Unit and the Sukabumi SAR Post.
