JAKARTA - The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) is collaborating with PT Pos Indonesia in distributing contraceptives and nutritious food for pregnant women and babies to remote areas. This collaboration aims to reduce the stunting rate to 14 percent in 2024. On the same occasion, President Director of PT Pos Indonesia Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi said that his party is committed to fully supporting the Family Development, Population, and Family Planning (Proud Kencana) program of the BKKBN. Faizal said that PT Pos Indonesia has 4 business portfolios, namely courier services, logistics services, cash distribution and property services. According to him, property services have been carried out by using the post office as a warehouse. This service is also used by the Ministry of Health to distribute additional food for pregnant women. Furthermore, Faizal said that the portfolio can be accessed at 4,800 post offices spread across the sub-districts. The Post Office also has 92,000 postal agents who can help access to villages. Moreover, the number of postal agents is greater than the number of villages that are around 74,000. "So that's roughly the four portfolios and distribution of postal coverage of PT Pos throughout Indonesia that can be utilized in collaboration with BKKBN.
