Demonstrators Visit North Sumatra's PDIP Office, Demand Regent Humbahas Dosmar To Be Removed Because Of A New Official Car

MEDAN - Masses from the Campus Community Alliance (AMK) Humbang Hasundutan (Humbahas) rallied in front of the North Sumatra PDI-P DPD secretariat, Jalan Djamin Ginting, Medan.

They highlighted the procurement of a new official car for the Regent of Humbahas Dosmar Banjarnahor worth Rp1.9 billion during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In its action, AMS urged the North Sumatran PDIP DPD to remove Dosmar Banjarnahor as a party cadre bearing the white-nosed bull.

"We came from Humbahas here to ask that the PDIP DPD be removed as PDIP cadre and chairman of the PDIP DPC Humbang Hasundutan," said the coordinator of the action, Richard Siburian, Thursday, December 16.

According to them, during the 2 periods he led Humbang Hasundutan Dosmar, he did not do much for the community.

In addition, AMS said Dosmar had lied to the community and was more concerned with personal needs.

This is related to the procurement of the regent's new official car worth Rp. 1.9 billion in the midst of a deteriorating community economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"There has been a public deception to the public regarding the procurement of a new official car for the Regent worth Rp. 1.9 billion. Where the DPRD has approved the budget. That amount of funds is used for private purposes even though the community is experiencing economic difficulties," continued Richard.

Previously, the procurement of the car was rejected by Dosmar. But in fact it did not really happen.

"But it turns out that he did not really refuse and has lied to the public. From the regional secretary's statement we can that the car procurement was not cancelled. So we asked that Dosmar be removed because he had lied," he explained.

The mass action was not welcomed by the North Sumatra PDIP DPD administrators because they were out of town.

The masses were asked to make administrative requirements to hold an audience with North Sumatra PDIP officials to discuss the issue.
