12-Year-Old Boy In Manado Goes Viral, Invites His 'Gang' To Beat Other Children And Deliberately Recorded Create Content On Social Media

MANADO - The police have handled a case related to a viral video of a boy molesting his friend that occurred in Watulambot Village, Minahasa, North Sulawesi (Sulut), last Wednesday, December 8.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast, said the case had entered the investigation stage. "Investigators have taken statements from the complainant who is the victim's mother, the victim, and the witnesses who were at the scene," he said in Manado, Antara, Wednesday, December 16.

This case of abuse was reported by the victim's mother to the Minahasa Police on December 9 and stated in the report number LP/554/XII/2021/Sulut/Minahasa Police.

Based on the report, the female perpetrator who was under the age of TTP (12) invited the female victim of PS (11) to meet. Upon arrival at the location, the victim was immediately accused of cursing the perpetrator, which in turn led to persecution.

Abast added that the perpetrator deliberately recorded the meeting with the victim and the abuse. The goal is that the video can be used as social media content. TTP wants to be more famous.

Unbeknownst to the victim, the perpetrator apparently ordered another friend to record the abuse. After the abuse, the victim went home and reported the incident to her mother. The video of the abuse immediately went viral on social media.

Abast regretted that this could happen. The police hope that every parent will pay more attention to their child.

"Supervise their children's interactions. Monitor our children in socializing including the use of gadgets or cellphones, so that later things don't happen that can harm themselves," he said.
