TANJUNGPINANG - Tanjungpinang Resort Police, Riau Islands Police (Kepri), held vaccinations for children aged 6-12 years at the local Police Headquarters Hall today.

The Head of Public Relations of the Tanjungpinang Police, Iptu Suprihadi, said that this vaccination activity was held until December 18, 2021, with a target of 120 doses per day.

"This child vaccination follows the instructions of the central government, in order to support the national vaccination target," he said in Tanjungpinang, Antara, Wednesday, December 15.

According to Suprihadi, vaccination of children aged 6-12 years uses the Sinovac vaccine. For children who want to be vaccinated, it is enough to bring a photocopy of their family card (KK) accompanied by their parents or family.

He also appealed to parents and children at that age not to worry about being injected with a vaccine, because vaccination is useful for building immunity to avoid COVID-19.

"Come on, parents, take their children to participate in vaccinations, so they are free from the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.

He said that vaccination of the general public was still carried out simultaneously with vaccination of children aged 6-12 years.

In fact, his party prepared free basic necessities for 50 people who came to the Tanjungpinang Police Station for the vaccine for the next three days. According to him, this is aimed at encouraging the achievement of vaccination in Tanjungpinang City to 100 percent, where currently it is around 88 percent.

The community has experienced the impact of vaccination for themselves, one of which is that the number of COVID-19 in Gurindam City is now zero.
