GORONTALO - The Regent of Bone Bolango, Gorontalo Province, Hamim Pou declared Luwoho Village, Botupingge District, Bone Bolango Regency as a Literacy Village.

"Luwohu Village is very suitable to be used as a literacy village," said Hamim Pou in Gorontalo, Antara, Wednesday, December 14.

He explained that the Literacy Village branding was pinned because even though the village area was not very large, all levels of school were in the village. "It's complete here, from PAUD to SMA available," he said.

According to him, with the condition of the village that is not too wide, it can also be used as literacy tourism, tourism, reading, Koran and others.

"When it comes to literacy, it must be cultured. I believe that with good human resources, this Literacy Village can be successful," he hoped.

Hamim also invited the community to donate books to the village. Meanwhile, Head of the Library Service, Syamsia Melu, said that the literacy village is an area that organizes various activities to increase interest in reading and public knowledge.

"This village is expected to be able to create a society with six literacy components. namely literacy, numeracy, scientific literacy, digital literacy/information and communication technology (ICT), financial/financial literacy, and cultural and civic literacy. lifelong learning," he said.

"The goal is to provide knowledge, information and skills services to the community so that they have broad skills and insights as well as adequate skills," he concluded.
