Deputy Chairperson Of The Gerindra Faction DPRD Recalls The Close Moment With Haji Lulung When He Criticized Ahok

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra Faction, Mohamad Taufik recalled the departure of Abraham Lunggana who is familiarly called Haji Lulung by recalling the momentum when they were both members of the DKI DPRD for the 2014-2019 period.

Taufik can't forget how he and Lulung, who was then Deputy Chair of the DKI DPRD from the PPP faction, often criticized the performance of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) when he was governor of DKI.

"He is quite strict in conveying something. We were both strict about Ahok back then," Taufik told reporters, Tuesday, December 14.

Haji Lulung, in Taufik's eyes is a warrior figure. The deceased was known to be quite consistent in defending his political principles.

"He, from me, said he was a fighter. He was consistent in fighting for his principles. He didn't back down. We lost a comrade in arms," said Taufik.

The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, also said the same thing. He also recalled Haji Lulung as an unpretentious figure who was friendly with many groups.

"I've known him for a long time, he's fun, straightforward, kind, then he always fights to defend his friends, and always builds a relationship with everyone," said Riza.

Haji Lulung passed away at Harapan Kita Hospital at 10.51 WIB. Lulung underwent intensive treatment for 20 days at the hospital since November 24, 2021. Haji Lulung was buried at the Karet Bivoc TPU.

While being treated by a heart and blood vessel specialist at Harapan Kita Hospital, Haji Lulung had experienced ups and downs in medical conditions. Until finally, Lulung's condition worsened and he breathed his last today.
