Seismic activity that was also monitored was one gust and one distant tectonic earthquake with the status of Mount Semeru at level II or alert.

Volcanic earthquakes related to eruptions, avalanches, crater smoke gusts, magma activity and tectonic activity recorded one earthquake/eruption, 15 avalanches, 23 gusts, four harmonic tremors, and two distant tectonic earthquakes.

The public is not allowed to move within a radius of 1 km from the crater/peak of Mount Semeru and a distance of 5 km to the direction of the crater opening in the southeast-south sector, and be aware of hot clouds avalanche, lava avalanches, and lahars along rivers/valleys that originate at the summit of Mount Semeru. .

Liswanto also appealed to the public to be aware of the potential for slides along the valley of the Besuk Kobokan hot cloud path and to be aware of the threat of lahars in the river channel upstream of Mount Semeru, given that a lot of material has already been formed.
